Just a few weeks after the queen of rocksteady, Phyllis Dillon, died, the great Jamaican producer Clement "Coxsone" Dodd, founder of Studio One Records died yesterday at the age of 72 at his home in Jamaica. In less than a month, Jamaican music has lost two of its most important pioneers. Damn.
